On Sunday the magical Fleet Foxes announced they’d be doing a date (May 18th) at Portland’s Crystal Ballroom, their first US date in 6 years.
With a few years out of the game, and the band not as it used to be with drummer Josh Tillman leaving the band to go on solo as Father John Misty, can their new record Crack-Up live up to expectations? Released June 16th through Nonesuch Records, the new record it set to pick up where they left off with their 2011 album ‘Helplessness Blues’.
Having got a taste of the first track ‘Third of May / Ōdaigahara’, it feels as if they’ve never been away, with frontman Robin Pecknold’s vocals still pounding out heartwarming feeling. With Portland receiving the very special privilege of being their first date on their upcoming tour, lucky ticket holders will get the first chance to hear this new album live. Tickets have yet to go on sale but it’s definitely not one to be missed.
