The legendary Thurston Moore will bring his new solo album ‘Rock n Roll Consciousness’ to The Lantern this June.
The songs Thurston wrote for the record were brought to life and galvanized by the tight bond of friendship in his band, a line-up with which he’s been working with for some time now. This includes bassist Deb Googe of My Bloody Valentine, guitarist James Sedwards and drummer Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth. It’s a release that’s rife with intelligence and great instrumentation. The recording highlights the group’s musical strength and beauty following two solid years of touring their critically acclaimed album ‘The Best Day’.
Shortly after this date the band will play a slot on The Williams Green stage at Glastonbury Festival for those who are heading to the festival we’d reccomend pencilling it into your schedule.
